The Baltimore Ravens originally signed former Washington Redskins Ryan Grant to a four-year, $29 million dollar contract on Tuesday but due to a failed physical, that contract became null and void. Grant was all set to become a Raven. He would have fit the Ravens offense nicely. He was very reliable, never missed a day on the field. He was far from an explosive player, but he was consistent and got better each season.
According to an article by Ryan Mink on Baltimoreravens.com, the team was aware of the ankle injury but since he was cleared by the Redskins doctor during his season-ending physical, the team did not think it would be a problem. The Ravens doctor had a different diagnosis. His contract was contingent on passing the required physical. Grant remains a free agent able to sign with any team.
Grant’s contract would have included $14.5 guaranteed salary.
