The Baltimore Ravens are already working on their 2018 season by signing six future/reserve players. That is another term that will be heard now that is not very familiar.
When a player is signed to a future/reserve contract, it simply means when a player is being signed for the upcoming season, normally to a one or two-year contract depending on the number of years of NFL experience. The only eligible players to sign are players that are not on any roster by the end of the season. Many of the players offered these contracts are signed from their teams’ practice squads, as these six players were signed from the Ravens practice squad.
