The Baltimore Ravens won against the Houston Texans in a score of 23 – 16. What a perfect ending! This was the first time the team hosted Monday night football since 2012 and they did it in style. Flacco came alive! He had 42 rushing yards, including the 25-yard rush late in the fourth quarter. He threw no interceptions! His passes were not tipped. He still needs to work on his accuracy. He overthrew a few passes. Probably trying to avoid an interception but still too high.
The penalties came alive in this team tonight with seven, costing the team 89 yards. The defense held the Texans to 66 rushing yards, thanks partially to Brandon Williams. What can be said about the secondary that has not already been said? Elite! Sure, there were some penalties. Cornerback Brandon Carr received two of them, Jimmy Smith missed a couple of blocks, but all in all, they were successful.
