The Baltimore Ravens selected outside linebacker Tyus Bowser in Round 2 (47th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft. Sticking to defense, the team grabbed a powerful linebacker. Quarterbacks will start to get even more nervous when the Ravens come to town.
This former Houston Cougar has incredible athletic ability, playing both football and basketball in his first two years of college. At the NFL Combine, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.65 seconds. People started to take notice. Standing at 6’3″ and weighing in at 247 pounds, Bowser can be a powerful threat to a quarterback. Last season, he recorded 8.5 sacks in only eight games.
Bowser has experience playing the edge and as an outside linebacker. The Ravens are need dire need for a player that can get to the quarterback. Terrell Suggs is not getting any younger. He has had two ACL injuries in his career and his partner, Elvis Dumervil was released. The Ravens have outside linebackers Matthew Judon and Brennen Beyer on the active roster to assist. Bowser has the ability to make an immediate impact.
