Baltimore Ravens running back Justin Forsett has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Forsett earned this award after rushing 20 times for 112 yards and two touchdowns during Week 10 against the Tennessee Titans, according to Ryan Mike of Baltimoreravens.com. This has been his biggest performance thus far this season.
Forsett signed with the Baltimore Ravens in March to a one-year, $730,000.00 contract. This 5’8″, 197 lb. veteran was originally thought of as only a place-holder for Ray Rice when he was suspended for only two games earlier this year. He has proved to be an elite player to be taken seriously.
Forsett has emerged to be one of the best running backs in the NFL with an average of 5.6 yards per carry this season. He has ranked fourth in the NFL with 721 rushing yards and five touchdowns, according to Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun.
